Jonathan Nieves, MD

Dr. Nieves was born and raised in Miami, Florida of Cuban Puerto Rican parents. He received his medical degree from Iberoamerican University in the Dominican Republic and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. He then pursued further training in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology through a fellowship at Temple University in Philadelphia. Since then, he has been practicing in Broward County together with Dr. Sameer Satija at South Florida Heart Rhythm Consultants.

He believes in a patient-centered approach to care, taking the time to listen to his patients' concerns, explain their condition and treatment options in detail, and work together to develop a treatment plan that meets their unique needs. Whether you are a new patient or a long-time patient, he will work with you to improve your heart health and overall well-being.

When not working, Dr. Nieves enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He has two young boys who are constantly keeping him busy with outdoor activities including soccer and tennis practice. 

They enjoy following all Miami sports teams and can often be seen attending these sporting events. Dr. Nieves himself grew up playing soccer and enjoys following the various soccer competitions throughout the year. He particularly enjoys watching Real Madrid - Hala Madrid!
